Terms and conditions

Our terms and conditions are clear and coparable to the terms and conditions of other stock photography agencies.


Summarized our terms and conditions are:

  • The price is valid for a single use of the photo.
  • The maximum size for this use is the size which you ordered. 
  • Rana and the photographer need to be mentioned in the publication, e.g. as "© Rana - Name of the Photographer"
  • Although we do our best to ensure species are correctly identified, we can not guarantee this.

 

In more elaborate wording:
  1. Our prices are valid for a single reproduction. If you want to use the photograph more than one time, you need to make a new order.
  2. The standard prices do not include exclusivity for the photograph. Exclusivity can me obtained. Please contact us for special pricing.
  3. The copyright of the photographs made available, is held by Ranaphoto and the photographer. The buyer shall make sure that the agency Rana and the name of the photographer are mentioned in the publication. Preferably next to a published photograph, or in the colophon with a reference to the relevant photograph and page. An example of this copyright notice is: "© Rana - Name of the Photographer". In case of non-compliance with this condition the amount due in publishing rights shall be increased at least by 300%.
  4. You may use the image as it is. Digitally altering the picture is generally not allowed, (cropping, changing colors, mirrorring,...) Upscaling the image to use it at a larger size than which you ordered is not allowed.
  5. Prices are net prices exclusive of 6% VAT. Unless otherwise agreed, payment shall be made within 30 days after the invoice date. In case this period is exceeded, the buyer is due an interest of 7% per month on the gross invoice amount. Payments shall be made without any discount due to costs of international payments. These costs have to be payed by the buyer.
  6. Delivery of the photographs is done by making the image downloadable for the customer.
  7. We do a big effort to make a correct determination of the place and/or species. However, we can not be held responsible for any damage due to any incorrectness in the naming of the image.
  8. By ordering a photograph you agree on these terms and conditions.
